Surrounding Water Tour 2015: park performances
Why should we work towards a Great Lakes Commons and how ?
It's not very often that circumstance have converged to place a performance of mine, on the grounds of a state park, at the foot of a historical monument and high on a cliff above my favorite body of water. Some of my favorite performances from the Surrounding Water tour were in the state and provincial parks where the audiences were made up of whoever happened to be camped in the park that evening and wanted to participate in the event. The diverse audiences who attended these performances and their positive reactions to my stories and songs, reassured my belief that we all have an interest in protecting water because no matter our back ground or political beliefs water is something that each of us has necessary relationships and connections to. Water transcends.
