Surrounding Water Tour 2015: Eagle Mine
Why should we work towards a Great Lakes Commons and how ?
After performing in Houghton, MI I rode up to Big bay MI where I met a couple of the more inspiring people I encountered on my journey. I partnered with the Yellow Dog Watershed Preserve who hosted me at a local restaurant called the Thunder Bay Inn. I was greeted with such a warm welcome at this place that I found it hard to do anything but sing.

They were all so excited by what I was doing. Big Bay is just down the road from the Eagle Mine and has experienced first hand many of the negative side effects of this mine. The Yellow Dog Watershed preserve is the epitome of what we are all working to do, in that all the land around the Great Lakes, and all of our individual lives and communities are part of watersheds that are part of greater watersheds that need guardians.
